Interior light and colour study

A colour chart is only one part of the decision. We look at how the room works, the light it receives and the materials around it.

  1. 01

    Function

How do you use the room? Work, rest and everyday living ask for different things.

  2. 02

    Light

Consider natural and artificial light, orientation and changes through the day.

  3. 03

    Warm or cool

Explore the feeling you want alongside flooring, furniture and existing finishes.

  4. 04

    Colour and finish

Narrow down colours, undertones and sheen. Check samples in the actual space before approving the final choice.

Before we begin

A few questions.

Is the inspection free?

Yes. Initial inspections are free for residential and commercial painting within our Brisbane City Council service area, subject to availability. There is no obligation to proceed.

Do I need to move my furniture before you arrive?

We can usually work around larger furniture by carefully moving and protecting it where required. Please remove smaller personal items, valuables and fragile objects beforehand. We’ll agree on access and preparation during your inspection.

How long will my project take?

It depends on the size of your home, the condition of the surfaces and the scope of work. Your written quote will include an expected timeline before work begins.

Can I stay in the house while you paint?

In many cases, yes. We can often work room by room to minimise disruption. We’ll discuss access, ventilation, drying times and a practical approach with you before scheduling.

Do you supply the paint and materials?

Paint, standard materials and preparation are included in the quoted price unless your written scope states otherwise.

What if the walls need repairs?

Minor filling and surface repairs are included where specified. If we find more extensive damage or work outside the agreed scope, we’ll discuss it with you and obtain approval before proceeding.

How do I choose the right colour?

Your inspection includes a colour discussion. We consider the room’s light, warmth or coolness, existing finishes and how the space is used before narrowing down options.

What happens after I book an inspection?

Once an inspection is confirmed, we visit your space, assess the scope and discuss your colour direction. You then receive a written quote. Painting is scheduled only after you approve the project.

How do you plan exterior work?

We assess the surfaces, condition and safe access during the inspection. Weather and drying conditions affect the sequence and timing, so we discuss a practical plan and keep you informed if conditions change.
